Hilo, Hawaiʻi — Big Island
A place where Heaven and Earth meet through nature and spirit.
Mu Garden Sanctuary is a six-acre agricultural sanctuary devoted to honoring Mother Earth and all of her elements. Rooted in the principles of permaculture, we steward the land with the understanding that “Food is Thy Medicine.”
Our devotion is to share the wisdom of the Earth through living example. Each sacred temple space within the sanctuary represents the elemental forces of Earth, Air, Water, Fire, and Ether, expressed through multi-faith traditions and earth-honoring cultures from around the world.
Mu Garden serves as a home where indigenous wisdom keepers, teachers, and community elders may share knowledge of the land and the ancient ways of living in harmony with nature.
Every part of the sanctuary is dedicated to cultivating food, medicinal plants, and holistic wellness through earth-based living. From our Quan Yin Water Purification Temple, the Pele Fire Dome, and the Bhakti Yoga Shala, the land itself becomes a teacher.
Throughout the gardens you will find beds of medicinal herbs, flowers, and nourishing foods, lovingly grown to support healing through the natural rhythms of the Earth.
Within the sanctuary we support each visitor’s journey through experiences that reconnect people with the land and their own inner balance. These offerings may include farm-to-table meals, herbal flower baths, Earth offerings, farm tours, Sonic Love Alchemy sound experiences, yoga, earth-based ceremonies, natural food-based cleansing practices, and frequency technologies designed to support harmony within body, mind, and spirit.
Mu Garden Sanctuary also offers opportunities for farm stays and immersive learning experiences, where guests can experience what it means to live close to the land and learn practical ways to cultivate food, medicine, and sustainable living practices.
This sanctuary is dedicated to supporting the people of Hawaiʻi by honoring the traditions of the islands. We work closely with our Kahuna, Kumus, guides, and extended ʻohana who share the foundations of Hawaiian culture through prayer, wisdom teachings, and service to the community.
Throughout the year we welcome indigenous teachers and wisdom keepers from around the world who come to share their knowledge of the Earth and the sacred traditions of their cultures.
Mu Garden also incorporates frequency-based technologies designed to support the health of the land itself—helping to remineralize soil, purify water, and raise the vibrational field of the environment in harmony with Mother Earth.
Our hope is that every person who spends time here leaves inspired to grow food, cultivate natural medicine, and bring the wisdom of sustainable living back to their own families and communities.
Our intention is simple and profound:
To cultivate a sustainable way of life so that together we may co-create Heaven on Earth.

The Vision of Mu Garden
Mu Garden Sanctuary was not created overnight. It has grown slowly, through years of prayer, devotion, and deep listening to the land.
Amma Sophia Rose and Jason Leeds have poured their hearts, hands, and lives into stewarding this sanctuary—cultivating a place where people may reconnect with the Earth, with spirit, and with one another.
What began as a shared vision between two devoted souls has become a living garden of possibility. Together they have tended the soil, planted the trees and medicinal gardens, built sacred spaces for prayer and music, and welcomed teachers, artists, and wisdom keepers from many traditions.
Their lives are guided by a simple but profound intention: to create a place where nature, community, and spirit can meet in harmony.
Through sound, ceremony, agriculture, music, and shared meals from the land, they continue to nurture Mu Garden as a sanctuary where hearts can open, spirits can be nourished, and people may remember their relationship with the living Earth.
Mu Garden is not simply a place—it is a prayer in motion, lovingly stewarded by Amma and Jason as they work alongside the land to cultivate a vision of Heaven and Earth living in balance together.

Throughout Mu Garden Sanctuary, sacred spaces have been created to honor the elements and the many traditions that recognize the Earth as a living temple.
Each space offers a unique environment for prayer, gathering, music, movement, and contemplation. These temples are living expressions of our devotion to harmony with nature and the sacred elements.
Dedicated to the spirit of Quan Yin, the Bodhisattva of compassion, this temple honors the element of water and the healing power of purification. It is a place for prayer, reflection, and water blessings, inviting guests to reconnect with the gentle flow of compassion and emotional healing.
The Pele Sound Dome is devoted to the elemental force of fire and transformation. This sacred sound temple is a gathering space for music, vibration, and sonic prayer, where instruments, voice, and resonance are used to awaken deeper states of awareness and connection.
The Bhakti Yoga Shala is a peaceful open-air sanctuary dedicated to movement, devotion, and embodied practice. Here we gather for yoga, meditation, breathwork, and community practices that cultivate presence, gratitude, and connection with the heart.
Each of these sacred spaces reflects our intention to honor the elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether, creating environments where people may reconnect with the deeper rhythms of life.
